Refit 2008 - flat out in Whangarei

Our first major refit for the ship in Whangarei, and the we're up to Day 20. Marty and Matt are leading the team in a steady stream of jobs. The bowsprit rigging is off and overhauled, all the yards except the upper tops'l are down for repairs and revarnishing. The main engine is completely apart for its 3 year check up, as is the starboard genset, some wire stays and rigging is being replaced and the mainmast is receiving attention. The hull is being scraped and primed and sections of the totora sheathing removed, inspected and replaced. The galley windows have been fixed up, deck leaks attended to and heads overhauled. And that's just so far..

They have been busy... In addition to the crew its been great to have Wally, Ed, Jamahl, Eric, Ellis, Piers, Steve, Barwick, Bjorn, Tony, Colin on the team.
